Cigna Global Health has announced a new online support tool that allows customers to submit claims through a mobile app. The global health service company said the service will help mobile customers to quickly and efficiently submit claims wherever they may be. A customer using either an Android or Apple smartphone simply needs to take a photo of their claim and submit it via an app for immediate processing. The Cigna Envoy Mobile App can have a claim completed within four minutes.
Robyn Cameron, senior vice-president of Cigna Global Health Benefits, said the app was in response to customers’ request for efficient ways of accessing their accounts. “In today’s technology-driven world, people typically don’t leave home without their smartphone, so building the capability for customers to take a picture of their claim and submit it through their smartphone was imperative,” he said.
