The Health Purchasing Alliance (HPA), a joint venture formed by Aviva and VitalityHealth in October 2015, has appointed Robert Bundock as the CEO.
Tania Baker, who had taken the temporary role of a CEO since the launch, will now be a non-executive chairman.
Bundock brings more than 25 years of commercial, partnership and logistics experience. Most recently, he led the commercial assurance for PwC and was a director of a consultancy providing procurement-related expertise.
Before, he had notably spent time at public and private healthcare organisations such as NHS Business Services Authority and Bupa.
The HPA aims to achieve economies of scale and bring cost-savings to Aviva’s and VitalityHealth’s private medical insurance customers through the joint procurement of hospital services.
