Bupa Global Promotes Sheldon Kenton to Managing Director

Bupa Global has appointed Sheldon Kenton as the Managing Director, subjected to regulatory approval. If successful, he will take over the relevant responsibilities from Robert Lang, who was recently assigned to head Bupa’s International Markets business.

This follows the creation of Bupa International Markets, which brings together Bupa Global, Bupa Arabia, Max Bupa in India and Bupa’s domestic businesses – Bupa Hong Kong, Quality HealthCare, Bupa China and Bupa Thailand.

“Sheldon is an experienced and well-established leader across the global insurance sector, with tremendous knowledge of the IPMI market. He has a clear understanding of Bupa Global’s strategy and priorities and will lead day-to-day operations setting the strategic direction for Bupa Global to drive growth and deliver outstanding customer service,” said Robert Lang, Managing Director, Bupa International Markets

After 18 years with Cigna, Sheldon joined Bupa Global in December 2015 as Global Commercial Director and was responsible for growing Bupa Global’s corporate sales and health benefits business. Since then, Bupa Global has observed record new business performance in the corporate segment, year to date.
