Aviva UK Appoints New CFO for UK General Insurance

Mr Patrick Tiernan will be Aviva UK’s new Chief Finance Officer for UK General Insurance. This appointment is still subject to approval, but it expected to go through soon.

Mr Tiernan will be replacing Mr Colm Holmes’s CFO position after Mr Holmes has been promoted to CEO last June 2016. Mr Tiernan has been in the insurance industry since 2003, and has worked for companies such as Zurich Insurance as its CEO for Centrally Managed Business, and more recently, StarStone Insurance as its Chief Operating Officer.

Mr Tiernan will be starting in Aviva shortly after the approval of his appointment expected by the end of the year or early next year.
